In late April, Faros, together with the VBO-FEB, presented the results of the federation study at a conference organized by the VBO-FEB. At the same time, the VBO-FEB toolkit and the Faros handbook on federations and competition law were also introduced.
One message stood out: compliance is essential, especially when the boundaries are not always black and white.
Following an opening by Pieter Timmermans and contributions from various speakers, Karolien Francken explained the study’s key findings and provided concrete guidance on how to embed compliance in a structural and sustainable manner. Emmelie Wijckmans then delved deeper into information exchange between federations and public institutions.
As part of this joint project, Faros also published a federation toolkit and a practical poster on competition law for federations.
