Our ‘Horizontal Round Table’ took place today, a conference with a select number of participants. The conference provided extensive insight into the EU's new regulatory framework on horizontal agreements.

Emmelie Wijckmans chaired the conference, and the event was coordinated by Morgane Smets. Faros lawyers Frank Wijckmans, Karolien Francken, Emmelie Wijckmans, Maaike Visser and Annemie Van de Vliet guided the audience through the two new Horizontal Block Exemption Regulations and accompanying Horizontal Guidelines. Paolo Tomassi of the European Commission discussed the European Commission's policy position and insights on the different chapters of the new legislation. Mariska van de Sanden from the Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) concluded the conference with a contribution on the ACM's unique experience with sustainability cooperations, informal procedures, recent jurisprudence, and the ACM's brand-new policy.

The Round Table was a hugely successful edition, to which we received particularly enthusiastic responses.
